Appreciative Inquiry

Appreciative Inquiry is tool to support organizational change. It is based on asking questions from a shared positive foundation and building upon goodwill towards creating a better common future. It is unique in that it is focused on strengths and successes rather than weakness or failures. An organization or team typically begin a change process by defining “what’s wrong” and “what do we need to fix.” With this tool the participants begin by appreciating the good in the current state and then asking questions to envision and dream about the new future state.
